| A wonderful and intricate Georgian embroidered hair and silk picture on silk, depicting a horse grazing under a tree before a country house. Incredible detail and shading of the trees and distant landscape – there’s even a church or monastery in the distance. There’s a large split to the silk in the sky, running from the upper left corner to the tree on the right; there’s a tiny split above the cross. Beautiful 200 year old example of a lost art! Measures 12 ½” by 16 ½”; sight size 9” by 12 ¾”. | ||||||||
