| Fine English portrait miniature in watercolor on ivory, depicting a gentleman in a white cravat and blue coat, circa 1820. A label on the reverse attributes the painting to the circle of William John Newton; he is very nicely done, indeed! He has been reset in a larger, newer frame, but the painting itself is in lovely condition; just a few tiny scratches, one to his left eye. Measures 1 7/8” by 1 ½”. | |||||
