| Delightful pair of English School portrait miniatures, depicting a lady and a gentleman, circa 1830. Both sitters wear black, he with a white stock, she with a white lace collar and what looks like a Wedgwood cameo! They are frame together in a red leather case. Condition is excellent. The case was probably originally just for her; it doesn’t close now with both portraits. A nearly illegible note on the back reads: “believe this to be Mi_ Bourne Rev C Griffiths wife Marcia Marie Bourne left by Aunt Florrie for Frederick.” | ||||||||
