| Portrait miniature on ivory set in a 15K gold pierced brooch frame, circa the early 19th century. The sitter is a very stern lady, wearing a frilly white bonnet and ruff, and a black gown. The miniature is set in a 15K gold brooch with pierced floral frame and glazed reverse with braided brown hair. Frame measures 2 inches; sight size is 1 1/2 inches. Condition; very good; colors bright and fresh; slight water mark in background at 2 o'clock; some solder marks on frame. | |||||
