| Adorable early Victorian silver giardinetti brooch, featuring colorful paste stones and marcasites, circa 1840. Giardinetti jewelry (from the Italian for garden) was popular in the late 18th and early 19th century and depicted a basket of flowers set with brightly colored stones. This little brooch features a central pink paste flower surrounded by green paste and marcasites blooms. The basket is set with two deep green cabochons. Very good condition. Measures 1”. | |||||
