| A superb antique micro beaded purse featuring a different design on each side. On the front, a castle (with a drawbridge and gate tower) lies next to a river. On the reverse, a courtier serenades his love with a lute! Both of these colorful scenes are set against a robin’s egg blue background. Original floral edged taupe taffeta lining with pleated pocket – and an adorable matching coin purse with the initials “ER”. This purse came out of a New Jersey estate, and one would assume that it was handmade by or for the owner – there’s an old envelope of extra blue beads tucked inside! Everything is in fine condition: there’s a small patch of bead loss under the pull tab and at one bottom corner, and the coin purse’s silk header is shattered. Measures 6 ¼” by 5 ½”; coin purse is 3" by 2 3/4". | |||||||||
