| 19th century portrait miniature of a severely handsome lady, beautifully painted in watercolor on ivory. The artist has captured her piercing stare and slightly sneering mouth. Her black hair is looped back in braids and she wears a black dress with frothy lace fichu and cuffs. Set in bevelled glass, rectangular gilt frame, backed with brown velvet. Measures 2 3/8” by 1 7/8”. Very good condition. | |||||
