| Fabulous modern American silver cufflinks by Jules Brenner (1917-1991). Measurements; 7/8" x 3/8". In very good condition. Jules Brenner began his training in the 1940's working with renowned Provincetown modernist jeweler, Ed Wiener. From 1951-1973 Jules Brenner had a studio jewelry store in New York City first on MacDougal Street in Greenwich Village and then later on Lexington and 63rd. He took up residence full-time in Provincetown opening The Jules Brenner Gallery in 1973. He worked mostly in sterling silver and copper and often used pearls in his work from the 1940's and 50's. When he moved uptown in the early 1960's he began working in gold and semi-precious stones which reflects his wealthier clientele. | ||
