German porcelain figurine by Rosenthal, looks a lot like Nymphenburg - perhaps was designed by an artist who worked for Nymphenburg at one point (?) Made around 1946 - has the underglaze U.S. Zone period Rosenthal green mark on the bottom. Quality as fine as in antique Rosenthal pieces - superb detail, fine hand-painting underglaze. Everything is on the level - she has fingernails, eye-brows and eye-lashes are painted through thoroughly, each hair visible - this is the last of truly FINE Rosenthal pieces, still made in the finest antique tradition, which makes it very collectible. | ||
