| This marvelous example of the "William Morris" influence in the decorative arts is a hand-carved oak frame. It is signed and dated in pencil "Broadstreet Thurburt and Co. Oct. 13th 1889". The floral detail. I believe it is a primrose, is superb. The condition is fine with only some slight discoloration and a bit of ware along the beaded inside edge. The measurements of the frame are (outside) 13 3/4" x 11 1/4", while the interior dimensions are 8 3/4" x 6 1/8". | ||||||||
