| Measuring only 5 3/4" x 7 3/4", this painting on board of California Red Woods is signed on front and back by August Euler. Evidently, as the dedication on the reverse reads, "To Charles Frenkler, "This little sketch is a gift to you in appreciation of your kindness to my son while the Major was enroute to Africa from New York in 1943. Subject: The Giant Redwoods of California (10 Centuries of growth) Sincerely yours, August Emler, San Francisco Calif 7/27/1943". The painting is in fine condition and seems to be in the original, simple frame. | |||||||
