Russian Wooden Icon of Archangel Michael, ca. 1800 from Arkhangelsk Region. Egg tempera, old leaf, and gesson on woonden panel. In excellent condition. 10 3/8" x 8 1/2". Michael is an archangel in Jewish, Christian, and Islamic teachings.
