18th Century Colonial Wooden Talla (sculpture) of Lima Peru Coat of Arms, ca. 1700 CE, 16 3/4" high x 11 3/4" wide x 1 3/4" deep. Lima Coat of Arms was created by first Viceroys of Peru to flatter Charles V, the Hapsburg Monarch in Europe. Delicately carved talla (sculpture) of wooden Heraldic Double Headed Eagle, the symbol of Hapsburg family. With mirrors embedded in wings, and center shadow box with wooden Infant Jesus is a later inclusion, probably 1850s...
