| Rare 16th Century Ayacucho Pottery Llama and Twins, Peru South Central Andes, ca. 1570. Twin births are extremely rare in llamas. Anecdotal depiction of parent holding mischievous offspring. Cream floral design over brown background. Rare transitional example of native and early colonial characteristics. 11 1/4" high x 5" wide x 5" deep. Rim is 4" diameter.
