This Antique Marine Triple Expansion Steam Engine is an authentic working model. It's unclear if this was a Patent Model, Salesman's Sample or a One-of-a-kind custom built steam engine. What is clear is the quality and attention to detail of ever inch of this working Nautical Ships Motor. Lots of brass including a solid brass propeller, wood grain tank and steel crank shaft. The main bearings even have individual oilers with brass screw on caps. This mechanical work of art rest on a ebony black and walnut wood base. There appears to have been a plaque on the base originally and unfortunately it's missing, so we may never know the origin or actual age of this wonderful boat motor.
