| This antique Chinese robe is made from blue damask woven silk with a petal collar and bottom trim. It has fine silk embroidery on white silk satin with couched metallic details. It is fully lined with peach damask woven silk. The five buttons are unusual as they are flat with double crane and cloud designs. The back of the buttons are marked, “R & G Treble Gilt.” (English buttons for Chinese use.) Circa late 19th century, Ch’ing Dynasty. There is some damage to the lining.
