Antique ethnographic tampan cloth from Indonesia (Western Sumatra). Note the different color arrangement. There is some wear and staining to this textile. Dates to circa 1890. Tampan cloths ceased to be made around the turn of 20th century due to changing economic and social conditions in Indonesia.
