| A very fine oil on canvas after a famous work by the French painter Jean Baptiste Greuze (1725-1805). Probably French, the painting is unsigned and dates to the late 18th or early 19th century. Titled The Paralytic, the original Greuze painting is in the Hermitage. The painting was restored as follows: a polyester film was added to reinforce the back leaving the original canvas visible. It was cleaned and touched up, particularly along worn edges, and restretched over the original stretchers. Unframed. Dimensions: 20" x 30" | |
