| Finely painted Chinese Export plaque or table screen, framed and on original stand, bearing the inscription "Ya Ju Tu," or "Three Scholars Gathering" and the signature of Chinese artist Wang Dafan (1888-1961). Plaque measures 17" x 25" without frame and stand. Excellent condition. Wang Dafan, a well-known artist of the so-called literati school porcelain painting, is known for his excellence in figure painting. In 2008, a bottle vase signed by the artist was sold at Christies for $16,000. | ||
