| Description: A rare and complete heavy-gauge silver tea set comprising a hot water pot, tea pot, tea caddy, waste bowl and five saucers. Eash piece has been finely hand-chiselled in "katakiribori" technique with a design depicting the "Four Noble Plants" (Shikunshi: chrysanthemum, orchid, plum and bamboo). Signed by the maker: SHUNSAI (Kyoto). With the original, signed wooden storage box. Date: Early 20th century. Excellent condition. | |||||||||||
