| Artist: YASHIMA BOSHU (born 1925) Description: An ovoid bronze ribbed vase with a special 'benido' (mottled red) applied patination. Born in Toyama, Boshu was a pupil of Masahiko Katori. He has received numerous awards for his metalwork at the Nihon Kogeikai (Japan Traditional Art & Craft Exhibition) where he serves as a judge.
