| Artist: SHUKOKU Description: A magnificent multi-colour lacquered 'Hibachi' (brazier) with carved decoration in Chinese taste depicting a variety of flowers and fruit such as roses, peaches and pomegranates as well as birds and insects. There are also two poems, one written in Japanese and the other in Chinese (composed by General NOGI, 1849-1912)in raised gold lacquer as well as the signature of the maker and the date.
