Artist: Tsukioka YOSHITOSHI (1839-1892) Description: Series: 'One Hundred Views of the Moon': the moon over Musashi plain. A vixen admires her reflection in the waters of a river. In Japanese folkore, foxes can take human form usually with the intention of deceiving men. Generally regarded as one of the best designs from this series. Date: 1892 Condition: Fine, early impression, perfect colour and condition. Notes: Album backing Size: Oban: 14.25" x 9.75"
