A lovely sterling fish set consisting of an ornate knife and fork with the date marks for 1881-82, Birmingham, and a maker's mark of H & T. The knife is 12 1/2 inches and the fork is 9 1/4". There are some dents in both handles, which are shaped around wood, and each have one or two spots with silver missing which can only be seen with a loop, are consistant with their age and useage and don't detract at all from their beauty. Both pieces are fully hallmarked.

These sterling tongs are 5 3/4 inches long and have the maker's mark for William Woodman, the town mark for Exeter and the date mark for for 1806-7. There is an elaborate two-initial monogram on the top which I can't decipher. The tongs are a good weight. Sorry, I don't have a scale to get the exact weight.

These elegant sterling tongs have a maker's mark of 'GS' over 'TE', which I've not been able to find in any of my books of hallmarks. There are three hallmarks; the King's head, a lion and the date mark 'A' for 1796. There is an elaborate monogram on the top which might be 'MPT'. There are also letters written along the inside of one arm that are now faint; the tongs must be turned to catch the light to see them. They could be 'tye' or 'dy ...click for details
