| A Fine/Large Wood Carved Carp Cross-Piece for Tea Kettle/Cooking Pot: Japan, 19th -Early 20th Century, This is an unusual large hard wood carved carp-shape crosspiece for a pothook adjuster. This carp crosspiece was part of a device for suspension of a kettle or cook pot over a fire in a Japanese home. It is now worn itself and the surface has a black wax for conservation itself, and it strings hemp rope and iron hook. This carp was carved so realistic and good preserved. It is in very fine condition without any major damages. Measurements; 33 1/2” long x 12” wide or 85cm long x 30,5cm wide. | ||
