A Korean Very Fine/Rare Scholar’s Reading/Writing Desk-18th C.: Korea, Choson period, 18th Century, A very rare scholar’s table with original aged dark red-brown patina covered overall its surfaces, and is a splendid example of an essential piece of furniture for Joseon dynasty scholars, a naïve beauty in Korean furniture. It is a quite heavier than a normal scholar’s writing table, is composed with two sections, one large drawer and two rectangular smaller drawers on the front in natural elm wood burl with patina. The top surface is flat and mounted with two up-turned end and also natural dark brown patina. As a such like this old aged table, it is in fine condition with minor normal damages (There is no any replace in this table). It measures 33.75” x 15.25” x 16”
