A Japanese Very Fine and Large Satsuma Vase by KINKOZAN-19th C.
Japan, Meiji Period, late 19th Century.
This exclusive large jar is well potted and massive decoration on body overal with
gold and colorful polychrome enamels.
It is applied a pair of large handles fashioned as shishi handles clasping a tasseled ring and a wide floral form rim, a brocade lappet collar and petal form band at the base bracketing a continuous figural narrative of large scale Samurai warriors and Japanese courtiers, the other opposite body decorated with ladies enjoying painting and children playing in landscape scenery, Kinkozan’s signature is on lower right in the landscape scenery.
It’s in very fine condition without any damages at all.
