A Very Rare Iron Brown Painted Punchong Wine Bottle-16th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, 16th century. The pear-shaped stoneware the middle section body set on a raised ring foot, with a narrow neck and everted rim, decorated in underglaze iron brown with stylized floral design on brushed white slip beneath a blue tinged clear glaze with crackles between two circular rings. Unfortunately it has rim and foot chips, otherwise its a very rare iron brown underglaze decorated with abstractive floral design as a wine bottle. It measures 16.5cm x 11.5cm (6.25 x 4.5).
