A Very Rare and Fine Silver Inlaid Iron Incense Burner:
Korea, early 20th century.
Of hexagonal section mounted on raised bracket feet, the six faces of the body
curved and the upright,, flat mouth, also hexagonal, inlaid in silver wire on the sides
with auspicious plant, deer, crane medallions within key fret and diaper-work borders,
on the legs with flower scroll, the body of the censer secured to the bracket support-
plinth by an iron joint. It’s in very fine condition but much rusted its inside related to use.
It measures 19.5cm h x 22cm d. (7 5/8” x 8 5/8”
