An Extremely Rare Korean Silver Inlaid with a Magpie and Tiger Covered Box-19th C.: Joseon period , late 19th century. This is an extremely rare silver inlaid box with a Magpie and Tiger medallion (the Symbol of Korean Traditional Folk Art) on the cover, and symbols of logevity-cranes and deers- and another tiger on the four sides surround by bands of key-fret work and floral diaperwork, rounded within a matching border. It’s very fine condition but some silver inlay missing. It measures 13.7cm L. x 10.4cm w. x 8cm h.
