A Very Rare/Fine Milky White Glazed Square Water Pot-18th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, 18th century. Of square formed water pot (brush washer?) with simple milky and warm white glaze on the interior and exterior overall, with rising to the square lipped mouth, set on high four corner bracket legs with unglazed, base white glazed with traces. It bears water stains around the bottom associated to aged using. It’s in very fine condition without any damages but a tiny small chip on the rim. Measurement: 16cm x 16cm w. (22cm across) x 10cm high. *** For almost identical shape of square pot but bamboo and orchid painted see Joseon White Glazed Porcelain III, the 18th century blue and white porclain, Ho-Am Art Museum, Seoul, Korea, 4, 10-7, 31, 1987 Exhibit-(please see photo #6).
