A Very Rare White Slip Brushed and Incised Fish Puchong Jar-16th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, 16th century Of well-portioned ovoid form with high shoulders, quite high neck and extended flat rim, and applied white slip overall, incised two fishs between water plants, water plants incised and painted in brown iron on leaves accented, a band of incised lotus petals on the shoulders, the base unglazed with light sand adhered. It’s in very fine condition without any damages at all, it measures 23.5cm x 19.5cm d. (9.25” x 7.75”). *** An almost identical Punchong jar incised with fish sold, My Art Auction, Seoul, June 9, 2011, lot #86.
