A Rare/Fine Korean Inlaid and Open-Work Celadon Pillow-12th C.:
Korea, Koryo period, 12th-13th Century,
This celadon pillow is a very rare and fine open-work inlaid celadon
pillow with 2 sides decorated in inlaid white slip. A central rounded circle
containing clouds are within a pair of circular lines, connected with openwork
fungus shape and clouds. The other two long sides are both formed with
slightly up-curved surface with inlaid triple chrysanthemum floral heads in

One side panel was indented in the firing with spur marks, applied overall with
a rich and bubble-suffused grey-green celadon glaze. It has an one side openwork
tip chipped, otherwise it is in fine condition. It measures 6 1/2” x 4 1/8” x 3”
