A Very Fine Korean White Slip Inlaid Punchong Bowl with Flower heads-16th C.:
Korea, Joseon period, 16th cenatury.
Inlaid overall in white slip, decorated in the center with a xtylized chrysanthemum flower
head, encircled by alternating bands of seed and lappet patterns all below a narrow band of
stylized tufrs of grass, the ezterior with similar decoration, supported on a wide foot rim,
applied with celadon glaze overall surfaces including base.
It’s in fine condition but two tiny chips on the rim,
it measures 8.3cm h. x 17.8cm d. (3.25” x 7”).
