An Extre./Rare/Fine White Glazed Bamboo Formed Bottle with Lizards (백자 철화 죽절형 도룡병)-19th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, late 19th century. A cylindrical bamboo form bottle vase applied in a very fine transparent white glaze over the surfaces, sculptured with two lizards climbing on bamboo stem formed body painted in iron brown, and two sets of three leaves on the shoulder and around neck and mouth rim, especially between two bamboo joins on its stem applied raised dots accented unusually, base unglazed. It’s in perfect condition with a clear white glaze without any chips or repairs at all. It measures 16.7cm h. x 13.5 cm d. (6.5" x 5.3"). A very identical bamboo bottle seen at Ogura collection of Korean Arts in Korean version, published 2005, Seoul, lot #704, p.156 (see photo #2), and seen other collections
