A Rare Three Stacking Sewing Boxes with Wooden spool

A Rare Three Stacking Sewing (Stationery) Boxes with a wood spool: Korean, Early 20th Century These sewing boxes for women are formed with paper in painted with colorful and applied cut-paper designs which is another characteristic Korean decorative technique in late Choson dynasty. The each wooden box was set with layers of paper, and its last outfit is covered with Korean writing (rice) paper with predominant bright red, yellow, green and purple colors. The paper surface was protected by an oil finish. It is in fine condition with minor damages associated with age. These boxes are including an 18th century, Korean, Women Sewing Thread Wood Spool decorated with character and geometric incised designs. Meaasures; 7.5" long and 2" wide. and sewing boxes measure 15"x10"x4.25", 13"x 8.5"x3.25", 11.75"x 6.75"x3".
