Very Fine and Rare Early White Porcelain Jar and Cover

A Very fine and Rare Early White Porcelain Jar with Cover: Korea, Early Choson period, 15th Century, This medium size of beautiful and pure white glazed jar with an original cover is very rare in current existence. The baluster form on recessed foot and with short up-neck, decorated with a clear and pure snow-white glaze covered overall, a well balanced portion of the body and cover with lotus bud shape-knob. It is in an excellent condition except a short hair line crack on mouth rim. It measures 13.2 cm. h x 11.5 cm. d.(5 1/4” h. x 4 1/2” d.).
