A very Fine/Rare Blue and White Large Deep Bowl: Korea, Choson period, 18th-19th century, This is an unusual large deep bowl set on a high footed-recessed base decorated in underglaze blue with two large sprays with two citrines( Buddha hand), the well decorated with an auspicious character “Happiness” contained within a double-ringed roundel. It's in very fine condition except a tiny part repaired on the outer rim. Measures 9 7/8” x 5 ½” h. (25cm x 14cm). ***Provenance: This blue and white deep bowl was a collection of Mr. Robert Moor which sold at Christie’s, New York, Oct. 16, 1986, lot #137, and see Garner, Oriental Blue and White (London 1954), pl.91a,b for similarly decorated porcelain bowls and Korean Pottery & Porcelain of the Yi Period, by G. St. G. M. Gompertz, 1 968 #112
