A Very Fine Rare Scholar’s Reading/Writing Table: Korea, Choson period, 18th Century, This is a rare scholar’s table with original aged dark red-brown patina covered overall its surfaces, and is a splendid example of an essential piece of furniture for a Choson dynasty scholars, a naïve beauty in Korean furniture. It is a quite heavier than a normal scholar’s writing table. This table is composed with two sections, one large drawer and two rectangular smaller drawers on the front in natural elm wood burl with patina. The top surface is flat and mounted with two up-turned end and also natural dark brown patina. As a such like this old aged table, it is in fine condition with minimal normal damages (There is no any replace in this table). It measures 33.75” x 15.25” x 16”
