A Portrait of Monk   Suh-San Dae Sa

A Portrait of Monk “Suh-San Dae Sa” (1520-1604): Korea, Choson period, 19th Century, His Buddhist name is Suh-San (1520-1604), his name is Hoo-Jung, and his family name is Choi. He was one of the greatest monks in Korean Buddhist history in Choson dynasty. It is painted with mineral color and ink on paper, and has an inscription of Suh-San Dae Sa Jee Jin Yong on the middle of right in painting. It has some stains (it has only normal minimal damages associated with age), otherwise it is in good condition. It is mounted with fabric and glazed wood frame, but it can be removed from the outer wood frame if necessary.Its shipping cost without the outer frame is for $70., or with the glazed outer frame for $100 within US. It measures 49” x 23 1/2” painting only, (124.5cm x 60cm)
