| A Very Rare/Fine set of small 10 Seiji Food Dishes (Mukozuke): Japan, Arita ware, Edo Period, early 19th Century , with a fitted and signed Box, Dated; "Bun Sei" 8 year (1826) and Signed This set of small 10 food serving dishes with a very old wood box with inscriptions on 4 wood panels in and out sides are very rare and important dishes from early 19th century for a tea ceremony and masters. This square formed dishes applied with dark celadon (Seiji) glaze and a character "kyoku" (the best, the most) and a Buddhist 8-trigrams in low relief designs on the interior is set on a square high foot. It is in an old patina with minor scratches on the interior. It is in very fine condition without any damages. It measures 10cm across and 2cm h. | ||
