A Rare Woodblock Print Chinese Puppet Player by Paul Jacoulet (1902-1960): Japan, Dai Oban tate-e, 15 3/8”x 11 3/4” print only, (18” x 13 7/8” approx. margins) Title; Marionnettes Chinoises, Cinois, “Chinese Puppet player” on bottom margin, Signed Paul Jacoulet in pencil with a pony seal in red on lower right, Limited edition # 223/350 in red on verso, and printer seal on lower right margin, It is in very good condition with good impression and color with full margins without any stain or mat burned marks, and very clear on the back (original two pin holes on left margin) *** When it held up in front of light, an elaborate water marks (monograms) “PJ”(his initials) with overlap and Two Chinese characters appear on lower left margin
