A Rare/Fine Paper Marche 3 Stacking Sewing (Stationery) Boxes: Korea, Choson period, 19th Century, These sewing boxes for Choson period’s women are formed with an all paper marche painted in colorful geometric design and applied cut-paper design was another characteristic Choson period’s decorative technique. It has papers with predominant bright red, yellow, green and purple color. These boxes’ paper surface was protected by an oil finish.
