| A Rare Ten Panel Chon-So Screen by Yoo Han-Ik(1844-1922), Korea, This a very rare ten panel chon-So screen was written by Hae Kwan, Yoo Han-Ik with gold(?) and light red on cloth. Each panel shows a number of antique objects, and seal impressions, all bearing seal script, inscriptions. Yu Han-Ik has used 19th century conventions to produce a distinctly archaistic version. This screen is an unusual variation on the “Pack Su Do”(one hundred longevity Picture), a calligraphic exercise in which the character for longevity is written in a hundred different ways. Signed Hae Kwan, painted seal Yoo Han-Ik In on the last panel screen. It is in very good condition. Measures 47” H, by 11 3/4" W. each panel painting only, or 65 1/2" H x 150" W. entire screen. | ||
