A Very Fine,Large and Rare Bale-Form White Porcelain Wine Jar:
Korea, Choson Dynasty, late 18th - early 19th Century
This is a vey fine and evenly white glazed cocoon shaped wine jar or flask
with one end flat rounded and the other sloping to a flat base and pierced in the
mid-section with a circular aperture and fitted with a slightly flared spout,
applied with a worm and clear white glaze evenly overall, base unglazed.
It is in very fine condition without any major flaws as a large jar but a few firing hair line cracks near base, a small chip to the mouth rim and light discoloration some area(Please see photos)
Measurements; 17.75 L. x 13.5" D.. x 13" W. (45cm x 34.5cm x 33cm).
