| A Very Rare Open Carved Battle Scene Panel with Inscriptions Korea, Choson, 18th –early 19th Century This open worked and mineral pigment painted with gold, silver, red, green, blue, yellow and black panel to be believed to have ornermented the attar of a temple or a Gerneral’s pavilion in commemoration of the battle scene.againt his enemy about 800 years ago or older (It’s believe to be a battle scene between Koryo (高麗 ,고려) and Yuan ? (元, 원). Made of wood approximately 2 inches thick,various images of Generals on horses back with long poles with short knifes, long swords, and each side soldier holding a large banner in a deep forest fields. This is a very rare Korean open worked panel with a mineral color in a battle scene. It is in excellent condition without any noticeable damages at all. It measures 36 1/2” x 10” x 2” thick (93cm x 25,5cm x 5cm) | ||
