| A Very Rare Fine Koryo Cast Bronze Mirror - -Moon Palace Mirror Korea, Koryo dynasty, 11th Century. Ihis Moon Palace Bronze is a superb example of Koryo dynasty craftsmanship. It’s in circular, cast on the back in high relief with a scene of the Moon Palace, to the left the tile-roofed pavilion floating on a horizontal band of clouds, a figure peeking ou through its open doorway, beloow, to the left, three immortals on a smaller raft of clouds, on the right bank a large pauloenia tree, and a dragon striding through the comma-shaped cresting currents below, the center knob raised and pierced and the rim raised higher than the crest design. It’s in very fine condition with a pale green patina and green encrustation. It measures 21 cm or 8 1/4” in diameter.
