It is hand woven kasuri ( warp and weft ) and dyed with natural indigo. In excellent condition except for a few stains in the front body and a small hole and rifts in the neck. This is a patched vest ( dogi ) which is made of silk crepe, plain silk, wild silk and figured silk satin. Red and purple stripe cloths are wild silk. The techniques are katazome ( stencil-resist-dyeing ) and kasuri ( ikat ). It has rare hand embroidered "kamon ( crest )" in the back. It has many moth holes especially in the collar and cloths in the both top shoulders are damaged, however it has original beautiful colors yet. Ca. mid 19th C. 45cm x 70cm 18inch x 27inch1/2
