This is a plate with inban ( copperplate printing ) whose motifs are bamboo and cherry blossoms. The inban technique on the ceramics was invented in mid Meiji period ( late 19th century ). In excellent condition but some plates have a gap or unevenness of the print. Late 19th to early 20th century.

This is a pair of Kenzan style bowl with handle for sweets. They have hand-painted pictures of bamboos covered with snow. Ogata Kenzan ( 1663~1743 ) was a potter as well as a Rinpa school painter. He was a younger brother of Ogata Korin who was a prominent painter and a founder of Rinpa school painting. They collaborated in some of potteries. Kenzan style potteries have been made in large number till these days, however this pair is rather old, made in Bunsei in Edo period ( early 19th century )...

This is a set of Koimari "choko" or "choku" which were originally used for containing food. Beautiful iris designs are hand-painted. Two of them have cracks inside near the bottoms, however one is only in the graze and the other is sealed. Water never oozes through either of them. Mid to late Edo period ( mid 18th to mid 19th C ).
