This is maku or a shroud with Rokumonsen ( Rokurensen ) crest which is known as Sanada family's crest. Sanada Yukimura was one of the famous samurais in 16th century. The usage is not clear but it was used outdoor and has many stains in the white parts, however it is washed. It is made of thick cotton and sewn by machine. Late 19th century. 6m32cm x 144cm

This is a fukusa, the gift cover. Fukusa is used to cover or to wrap a gift. It has gorgeous embroidery whose motifs are pheonix and paulownia. The ground silk crêpe is dyed with benibana ( safflower ) and silk threads are all dyed with vegetable dye. The last photo shows the examples of the usage. This is a Woman's han-juban ( short under kimono ) made of hand-spun cotton and dyed with benibana ( safflower ). Benibana was cultivated in Tohoku district, especially in Yamagata prefecture in old days and it was very precious, but it is imported from abroad these days. It has beautiful shibori ( tie-dyeing ) pattern. In excellent condition and looks scarcely worn. Late 19th to early 20th century. 56cm x 57cm

This is possibly a card or ticket case made of rare piece of bingata cotton cloth. Bingata is katazome ( stencil-dyeing ) produced in Ryukyu islands ( now Okinawa ). This bingata was produced in 19th century, but this case might have been made later, early 20th century ( sewn by machine ). The lining is silk. In excellent condition. 13cm x 7.7cm

Takara-zukushi is a design with many kinds of treasures such as lucky mallet, sacred gem, straw raincoat which can be a shield to hide, hand scroll, gold pouch, cloves, mandarine orange flowers etc. It has wear and rips.
